November 25th was the suggested release date, now somebody heard that one of the dunderhead managers spoke up and said "derrrr, I tink it'd be best to release it on a Sunday, beginning of the work week.". So whoever heard than ran to the internet screamig "ZOMG, NOV 23RD!!!!"

This is what I find slightly confusing, over in the uk new releases tend to come out on a monday and build up to the charts the following Sunday. If it was a tuesday in the states would it be a tuesday over here?

Are new releases in the US normally out on a tuesday?

Tuesday's, in Noerth america is TYPICALLY a release date. It's not carved in stone. Over in Europe, they get it a day earlier, Monday's. The labels' can release it any day they want to, especially if they signed an exclusive deal with a retailer. That's all worked out in the deal. Metallica's Death Magnetic was not released on a tuesday. The decision maker can choose any day they want as a release date. Typically it's a Tuesday but Chinese Democracy is NOT a typical release now is it?

I know that this has been a long and drawn out process waiting on this album to finally materialize in the stores. But have you all lost faith in Big Pat? Has he ever steered us wrong before or lied to us? If he says it is Nov. 25th then it is Nov.25th!!!! He seems to have the most and best reliable source for this info that you could get besides Axl himself or G N' R mgmt..

There is something strange going on. I just reviewed BestBuy.com, and GN'R have SIX items that are scheduled to come out between now and 12/03/08. It appears the Gunmen are re-releasing all of the previous albums, plus some type of special edition of AFD. If this is the negotiations that have been taking place since the new mgmt came on board, that could explain why it's taking so long. GN'R appear to have more going on than just the simple release of Chinese Democracy. Not to mention, the two other new albums that GN'R have recorded that no one seems to be talking about. I sense a HUGE type of announcement coming soon from the GN'R camp. I just wish they would make it already. GO GN'R!! (before we all croak).
