GN'R To Get their own Guitar Hero?
Famous rockers such as Guns 'N Roses and Van Halen are said to be fleshing out deals to capitalise on the popularity of Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
That's according to Front Line Managemet boss Irving Azoff, who was speaking to the Wall Street Journal. Those groups, alongside others such as The Eagles and Steely Dan, "all have deals of varying types in the works with one or the other or both of these companies" said Azoff, referring to Activision and MTV.
The Front Line music label has Aerosmith among others on its books.
The reason Azoff believes videogames deals are becoming so popular is money. "[They] can be much more lucrative than anything you can do in the record business," he said.
Not only do bands apparently get millions of dollars up front, but also a hefty royalty on all of their songs sold through the games.
The Wall Street Journal claims a source close to Aerosmith says the rock group could make more from its Guitar Hero spin-off than from a dozen or more CD albums.
However, there is one band still eluding the greed grasp of us videogame head-bangers: Led Zeppelin. The world renowned rock group is uneasy with outsiders touching its master recordings, apparently.

RockBand: GNR would be awesome, second only to RockBand: Beatles.
Too bad GH Aerosmith was so dissappointing. Awful visuals, short set list and missing key Aerosmith hits (especially the Geffen years).

That's Great news i hope the Guitar Hero:Guns n' Roses, is true tha'll be so cool. I do like video games and Gn'R is my favorite band of all time so that'll be some Killer mix, I'm also waiting for the Ghostbusters video game if you don't know about it check it out it includes new recordings from the original GB (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harol Ramis and Ernie Hudson), How cool it be a GH:GN'R with the voices of the band in the cinematics, classic lineup except Steven. What a dream.

I could definitely see GnR guitar Hero coming out-- there's so much Old/New material to work off of. The story mode would be pretty fucked up XD but I don't know about too much GnR on rockband-- save for maybe the songs that Weiland was able to cover in VV. Honestly, Axl's voice takes more skill to keep up with than most of the people on the planet have.

Axl wouldn't be a stranger to video games, one of the COOLEST aspects of GTA: San Andreas was Axl providing the DJ voiceover for the classic rock radio station. Excellent voicework and acting skills.

As much as I think the other video might be legit, this is the only news that comes from a reliable source : )
Still, I understand why it would get lost in the excitement of a possible 4 ALBUMS!!!

Led Zepp won't lend their music to a game but lend 'rock and roll' to a car commercial. What dumbfucks!

I am a huge Guns fan and would LOVE to see guitar Hero GnR! Personally I think it would outsell all the other band games (minus the Beatles of course, I mean really now). This is a game that MUST be made!!

Guns N' Roses is, in my opinion the greatest band of all time. Guitar Hero has to be the best game ever. And GnR appeals to people both young and old. Put simply, any more delay in this matter is just another holocaust to fans of America's greatest rockers.
